My favourite quote to share with all of you during the gloomiest part of the year.
I can't believe that spring has finally arrived and we managed to get through the first two months of the year. With the insane weather that we have had, I have encountered so many people that have been a little more blue than usual. It's not surprising that after the hustle and bustle of Christmas, January and February seem just so uneventful and dreary as the nights still come fairly early and the darkness still settles in before we are ready to call it a day. Top that off with snow and for some of you, being trapped indoors with cabin fever, it just didn't seem like a very happy time of year. All of us feel some sadness and are affected by weather and darkness at some point in our lives and I'm no different than any other human being. I don't have an answer or remedy to offer but I do always remind myself of this very important quote by Agatha Christie. It has gotten me through so much in life and I want to share it with you as I bring this blog entry to a close at the start of spring 2017.
"I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing."
Happy spring everyone!
