Introducing: The North Face Winter Outerwear

Friday, October 8th, 2010

(http://shop NULL.dandelionkids NULL.ca/index NULL.php?search=north%20face)

We really are stoked to have The North Face (http://shop NULL.dandelionkids NULL.ca/index NULL.php?search=the%20north%20face) in our shops! Perfectly warm winter outerwear from infants to big kids. To celebrate, with every The North Face purchase, your name will be entered to win one of two cosy (http://www NULL.thenorthface NULL.com/catalog/ca/en/gear/boys-39-glacier-full-zip-hoodie NULL.html?parent_category_rn=&cm_vc=Search)Glacier Full-Zip Hoodies (http://www NULL.thenorthface NULL.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/TNFSearchResult?langId=-12&storeId=202&catalogId=10001&searchTerm=glacier%20full%20zip). Perfect for layering!

Baby, it’s gonna get cold outside! Infants are kept happy bundled up in super soft bunting suits, toddlers can hit the slopes (or throw snowballs) in comfort and style with bib-front pants and matching jackets, and those big kids, well, these cool ski pants and jackets will keep them toasty warm and looking good all day long.

The North Face products are of the highest quality and their outerwear ranges from water-resistant to completely waterproof. Many pieces have EZ-Zip or EZ-Grow functionality to keep children safe, able to help themselves, and in their winter wear the whole season even as they grow. Insulated with Heatseeker technology or goose down, there is a choice for everyone! Plus, the North Face products are fully warranted to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product.

Technical  Information:

HyVent®

HyVent® is a superior waterproof, breathable technology utilizing a polyurethane (PU) coating that consists of a tri-component multilayer formula for waterproof protection, moisture permeability, and durability. This technology has been lab tested in The North Face® Quality Assurance lab to ensure the best possible durability and function while also maintaining a comfortable level of breathability. The minimum breathability achieved using HyVent® is 600 g/m2/24 hours on the Moisture Vapor Transfer Rate (MVTR) scale.1 To test the level of waterproofness, The North Face® subjected HyVent® garments to 20 wash cycles2, after which they retained an average of more than 60 PSI on the waterproofing Mullens Test3. In addition to quantitative lab science, qualitative feedback has been factored into HyVent® development, and HyVent® garments have been heavily field-tested for over three years with outstanding proof of long-term performance. Says skier and mountaineer Rick Armstrong, who has many first descents of famed
Peaks to his name: “This technology keeps me out in the storms, catching the best snow long after most people have gone inside. It’s just as good—if not better—than anything else on the market.”

Heatseeker

Heatseeker- The North Face’s proprietary synthetic insulation offers a great warmth-to-weight ratio, is highly compressible, and is extremely durable, making it ideal for cold weather excursions that require warmth at minimal bulk.

Goose Down Insulation

The North Face® uses only the highest quality goose down in all of its products. Each lot of down is thoroughly tested at three stages of production for loftiness, moisture resistance, and ability to regain loft after compression.  The fill power of goose down is an indicator of two important features: the warmth-to-weight ratio and compressibility, both critical to the user’s warmth and comfort. True fill power is measured by placing one ounce of down in a graduated cylinder and measuring the volume the down occupies in cubic inches.  The North Face® products are insulated with exclusive, high-fill power down ranging from 550 fill to 900 fill, which represents the highest-quality down commercially available.

EZ Grow

Extend the length—and life—of your child’s pants with EZ Grow. It’s a simple way for pants to last even longer. When your child is about to outgrow his or her pants, follow the below steps. 1 Turn them inside out. 2 Remove the red seam. 3 Extend the cuffs 2 inches.

EZ Zip

For little fingers, aligning zippers can be a struggle, especially when it’s cold. And parents sometimes wrestle with zippers just as much as kids, especially when little ones are itching to get outside. Our EZ Zip zipper design makes zippers easy, Thanks to a unique design, the zipper can be inserted vertically, as usual, or started at an angle and rotated into position, then zipped up. No more struggling.
