We were ecstatic to find out we would be showcased in the latest edition of the eat.shop Vancouver (http://eatshopguides NULL.com/cities/vancouver/) guide.

We were even happier with what they said. We think the last line is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said about us.  Thank you eat.shop!

Here’s what they had to say about us:

I think it is a form of discrimination that us non-parent types have no one to dress up in the adorable children’s clothes sold at Dandelion Kids. I felt a twinge of envy as I watched parents and grandparents sort through the vast choices here that will help make their youngsters positively fetching. But when I look at a tiny pair of Vans, I think to myself, I could hang those from my rear view mirror, or use them to serve bridge mix. I know that these ideas seem downright desperate, so I’ll just accept that I can buy great gifts here. Parents, please know how lucky you are to have Dandelion Kids.

Eastside Culture Crawl this weekend

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

Eastside Culture Crawl graphic

The Eastside Culture Crawl is a longstanding tradition, and a must-do event on the calendars of Vancouver’s Arts Community. This is the 13th year running, and it’s looking to be as great as always. It starts Friday (5pm-10pm), and runs through to Sunday (11am-6pm both Sat & Sun), so try to make some time to get out and support the Arts. The event is FREE.

You can learn everything that you need to about this year’s Crawl at their website www.eastsideculturecrawl.com (http://www NULL.eastsideculturecrawl NULL.com/).

Can you believe it? dandelionKIDS is turning 5!

Ohhhh the tears, the laughter, the pee accidents we’ve experienced in the last 5 years! Most important are all the stories we’ve shared – the joy of new babies, first experiences, steps, words, giggles! When we first opened dandelion KIDS, we never dreamed it could be as fun and rewarding and personal as it is. So many of the babies and toddlers we met 5 years ago are now big lovely kids! What a pleasure to watch them grow.

We love being part of a growing community and are honoured to have become a Vancouver favourite.

We’re celebrating our 5th birthday with our Annual Birthday Sale at both our locations on Commercial Drive, Vancouver and Suter Brook Village, Port Moody.

All shoes and clothing 30% off.
Absolutely everything else 20% off.
Sale is in-store only. Free shipping on our web store (http://shop NULL.dandelionkids NULL.ca/).

A Day In Vancouver (timelapse) Video

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

This timelapse video from the past weekend (July 25th) has been making the rounds on the internet – and we though we’d share it one more time in case you missed it.

This KatKam.ca camera captures the scene across the Burrard Street Bridge every 5 minutes, and on this day the weather turned wild. Vancouver started with a beautiful sunny day, collapsing into a rain storm, then had one of the most majestic red sky sunsets ending just before the HSBC Fireworks finished off the night. Amazing.

It’s great to see how lucky we are to live where we do.
