If you have no plans and you’re looking for something fun to do tomorrow night, our friends at Coast Modern are throwing a fundraising soiree in Strathcona.
Coast Modern is a documentary project about the history of residential modernist architecture on the West Coast of North America, and how our laid back culture informed the movement.
For anyone with an interest in Modernism, or a chance to mix with some of the local luminaries of the modernist architecture set, here’s your opportunity to do it with oysters on the half shell and fine local wine and beer!
Tickets are $10, including a free drink. If any of you design oriented types are interested in snapping up a limited poster, you can snap up a ticket + poster for $100. Our favourite is the blue handmade limited edition Byron O’Neill silkscreen print, but the pink one is pretty awesome too!

Plus if it’s hot and sunny, you don’t have to worry about bringing sunscreen because we’ve got you covered (or slathered, if necessary!) with free Badger Sunscreen SPF 30 available right in front of our shop. Slide on up and grab a squeeze of this amazing totally natural suncare that has broad spectrum protection and is safe and effective. And even better, we have a gift basket of Badger Balm products and some extra tubes of this top-rated sunscreen that you could win!
