Happy Birthday! Sophie le Giraffe just turned 50!

Sophie le Giraffe (http://shop NULL.dandelionkids NULL.ca/616324 NULL.html) just turned 50!

It’s true: the 100% natural Hevea tree-sap rubber toy has been around for a half century! It was introduced to Vancouver by dandelion KIDS over five years ago and became an instant cult favourite with our clients.

The toy’s manufacturer is celebrating Sophie’s birthday with an artist’s series of 70 one-of-a-kind Sophie le Giraffe designs by a wide array of artists. From cozy coat to a subway map – the Sophie le Giraffe artist series reinterprets the child favourite toy in many unique and amusing ways. The entire series – which includes the design by Dazhi Huang of Studio Berçot (our favourite) featured above – was auctioned off in May to benefit childhood cancer research.

dandelion KIDS Fashion Show

dandelion KIDS is excited to show off some of our Fall/Winter 2010/11 lines in Port Moody at the Bossy Moms Boutique Trade Show this Sunday, November 14th. This trade show is for the community to enjoy the local stores and talent.

dandelion KIDS will be featuring fashions for Babies to 9 Years as well as toys and a few cute accessories at 3:30pm, so come down early for seats and to enjoy the offerings at this great show.

There will be free samples of coffee, food, entertainment and workshops provided by local businesses.

Admission is FREE but attendees are encouraged to bring donations of soft toys or children’s slippers to go towards a shelter for abused women & children.

New Appaman clothing for Fall 2010

Now that summer is full swing, so are all the fall arrivals. Appaman has just arrived and we’re so excited. It’s a throwback to the 80′s.
