Explore Space with A is for Astronaut – Wednesday Morning Story Time

This delightful, modern book will be sure to raise lots of questions about the universe! Exploring Space from A-to-Z is loads of fun. A is for Astronaut is the only contemporary A-to-Z space book available and is a visually exciting mix of vintage illustrations and contemporary photos and facts.  A is for Astronaut teaches children the alphabet at the same time as fun facts about space.


About Wednesday Morning Story Time: We will be reading a different book from our vast selection Wednesdays at 10:30 am at our Port Moody store. Try to swing by every Wednesday morning… and we’ll read to your child while you can enjoy the book, browse, shop or just daydream. If you like the book we’ve read, you will be able purchase it at a special price on the day of the reading.

Andy Warhol’s Colours for Wednesday Morning Story Time

Learning about colours has never been so hip! In Andy Warhol’s imagination, as in that of many children we know, horses are purple and golden monkeys wear pink baubles on their tails. Through Andy Warhol’s Colors, children will learn their colours as they discover that in modern art, anything is possible.

Susan Goldman Rubin is the acclaimed author of such books as Degas and the Dance and Andy Warhol: Pop Art Painter. Her dynamic nonfiction has won her many awards and accolades from the CCBC, ALA, and the Smithsonian, among others.
