Sunday, August 21st, 2011Hevea Raw Rubber Bathing Toys
Sunday, July 17th, 2011We love the simplicity and cool factor of these Heava bath toys made from 100% natural rubber. They are free from phthalates, colours, PVC & EVAtane, silicone & BPA. They are melded in one piece with no holes, which means no mold. Bath time is definitely more fun with these squishy creatures!
The Hevea brand replenishes the rubber trees they use in manufacturing, donating a portion of their proceeds to research and development of sustainable business practices, and purchasing carbon offsets for their shipping and transportation costs. The packaging is made from recycled paper and printed with Canola ink.
Bath time just got a little more fun!
Dads-to-Be! Announce Your Big News with BellyMan
Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

Yay, BellyMan! We just love this line of vintage-inspired, uber-soft T’s for dads-to-be. Thanks to a lovely dandelion KIDS client for showing us her niece’s cool line.
BellyMan offers dads the chance to wear their paternity proudly but subtly. Authentic, unique, with universal appeal and sure to spark loads of conversations. Created by a Chicago couple with babies and business on the brains. As parents to two trendsetting toddlers, they understand and appreciate the role that both parents play — from the time they conceive, onward. Noticing a vacancy in attire for expectant men, they birthed BellyMan.

Hip Hop, Break-dance, Funk Soul! Yeah.
Friday, May 20th, 2011Such a awesome program for kids. Highly recommended for children who like to move, express themselves or are maybe a bit shy. dandelion KIDS plus Native Shoes are helping sponsor these ongoing sessions! We only wish we could join the class too. We love dancing!
The Mini’s program is geared towards developing rhythm and coordination while enhancing basic dancing skills. Each session will consist of a warm-up followed by a series of dance games incorporating hip-hop moves and minor choreography to high-energy music – funk, soul and hip-hop beats plus new-jack swing and basic break-dancing moves. As a bonus, a video montage will be created for participants to keep. Perfect for playing at their wedding!
SVS Style Dance Crew’s own Anne Marie Corcuera will be sharing her talents and training the next generation of up-and-coming dancers. In addition to being an assistant instructor for several SVS hip-hop programs for the past 4 years, she has taught for the New Westminster Youth Recreation Centre, the Fusion Festival, the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, Denman Community Centre, as well as for Live Crew in the Philippines. She has performed at numerous night clubs, fashion shows, and events all over the city. Having danced her whole life, she is truly the embodiment of the “SVS Style”.

Native Shoes at dandelion KIDS plus The Howard
Monday, March 21st, 2011Introducing the Howard by Native Shoes from Native Shoes on Vimeo.
Such a silly, funny little film. When opportunity knocks loudest, say inviting a sea nymph aboard, it never hurts to have a pair of Native’s at the ready and make them Howards. Frisky polkadots, ocean magic, and sunny nothings. The Howard, keep it lite.
We are so excited to have our first batch of kids Native Shoes in store now! How completely cute and practical all at once! Native shoes come in bright crayon colours with great styling riffing on iconic sneaker silhouettes like Vans or Converse. Best of all, they are lightweight, anti-microbial, durable and super easy to put on. Perfect for the park, for preschool, for the beach plus they’re from our home town, Vancouver! What’s not to love?
You can even throw them in the dishwasher!

Wooden blocks – the building blocks of communication
Monday, November 29th, 2010We are so excited about these stunning wooden learning blocks, especially the Braille/Sign-Language set!
Stack ‘em up, knock ‘em down. Spell a word or two. We love the simplicity and enduring value of Uncle Goose basswood blocks. Without batteries and moving parts, blocks are often a child’s favourite toy. Simple wooden blocks help children learn and build fine motor skills and develop their imaginations. Made in the USA from sustainable Michigan basswood since 1983. These learning blocks meet all U.S. and European safety standards, and feature child-safe non-toxic inks.
Uncle Goose is as concerned about our environment as we are. The wood used is farmed, planted and harvested on industry-managed land around the Great Lakes. Their manufacturing process minimizes waste, both in production and packaging.
Other languages are available through special order: Danish, Dutch, Hebrew, Norwegian, Polish, Russian and Spanish.
