Sometimes, the simplest things bring the most pleasure.
This adorable Mouse Milk House makes the perfect home for a mouse or two and encourages children’s imaginations to take flight. With cut-out window and doors, plain white walls and an open plan upper floor, children can easily rearrange furniture, put their tiny friends to bed, or add some homemade decor to the interior. The house is 60cm tall and is unfurnished.

Wow, we can hardly believe it! We’ve been open for 7 wonderful years and so many fantastic things have happened. We’ve met beautiful babies, adorable toddlers, big kids entering Kindergarten and growing up happy and strong! We’ve enjoyed getting to know wonderful parents, aunts and uncles, best friends and good neighbours. Thank you for this!
When we first opened on Commercial Drive in 2004, we were proud to be the first to introduce many new and amazing children’s products to Vancouver. We are so pleased to continue with many of these beloved lines and still introduce innovative, earth-friendly, well-made, beautiful, practical products for children. We are grateful that our reputation has continued to grow over the years and we were able to expand our little neighbourhood shop into the online world and then open a second community-minded shop in Port Moody for the Tri-Cities. Our mandate has always been to present products that are well-crafted and safe with extra emphasis on natural, organic and sustainable items for kids. Sophie le Giraffe just turned 50!
It’s true: the 100% natural Hevea tree-sap rubber toy has been around for a half century! It was introduced to Vancouver by dandelion KIDS over five years ago and became an instant cult favourite with our clients.
The toy’s manufacturer is celebrating Sophie’s birthday with an artist’s series of 70 one-of-a-kind Sophie le Giraffe designs by a wide array of artists. From cozy coat to a subway map – the Sophie le Giraffe artist series reinterprets the child favourite toy in many unique and amusing ways. The entire series – which includes the design by Dazhi Huang of Studio Berçot (our favourite) featured above – was auctioned off in May to benefit childhood cancer research.

We love the simplicity and cool factor of these Heava bath toys made from 100% natural rubber. They are free from phthalates, colours, PVC & EVAtane, silicone & BPA. They are melded in one piece with no holes, which means no mold. Bath time is definitely more fun with these squishy creatures!
The Hevea brand replenishes the rubber trees they use in manufacturing, donating a portion of their proceeds to research and development of sustainable business practices, and purchasing carbon offsets for their shipping and transportation costs. The packaging is made from recycled paper and printed with Canola ink.
