Wednesday Morning Story Time: For Just One Day
Tuesday, June 1st, 2010
Wednesday Morning Story Time is happening tomorrow…We’re going to read For Just One Day by Laura Leuck. This story was such a hit with the little ones that we are presenting it again for their listening pleasure!
For just one day, I’d like to be a busy, buzzing bumble…BEE!
What child hasn’t pretended to be a monkey, a bear, or a bumblebee? After imagining the fun of being a variety of animals from around the world, a sweet ending—and an attached mirror—remind little ones that the very best thing they can be is exactly who they are.
Laura Leuck is the author of several popular books, including Jeepers Creepers: A Monstrous ABC, Santa Claws, and My Monster Mama Loves Me So. She lives in Florida. Marc Boutavant is an illustrator, graphic artist, and comic strip author. He lives in Paris.
You can find For Just One Day (http://shop NULL.dandelionkids NULL.ca/rain35 NULL.html) on our web store (http://shop NULL.dandelionkids NULL.ca/rain35 NULL.html).

Treasure is on our minds!
Bedtime reading in our house is currently Enid Blyton’s Five on a Treasure Island (http://en NULL.wikipedia NULL.org/wiki/The_Famous_Five_%28series%29)which features an unexplored shipwreck risen from the bottom of the ocean in a fierce storm. How exciting! Perhaps there is undiscovered treasure on Treasure Island? Could it be gold, relics, skeletons??
So naturally, we are dying to go and see this exhibition.
