Wednesday Morning Story Time

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

This week for Wednesday Morning Story Time, the book we’re reading is a surprise! As always, we will choose it with our growing gang of 5-and-under participants in mind!

Please join us on our pile of pillows for a yummy kid-sized Booster Juice, now courtesy of dandelion KIDS, and an entertaining book every Wednesday morning. We’ll read to your child and you can enjoy the book, browse, shop or just daydream. If you like the book we’ve read, you will be able purchase it at a special price on the day of the reading.

To make sure we have enough yummy drinks to go around, please do RSVP at 604.949.1862 or info@dandelionkids.ca.

See you there!

Introducing Strider, The No Pedal PREbike at dandelion KIDS

Friday, May 7th, 2010

We’re really excited to introduce the Strider line of PREbikes to dandelion KIDS. Designed for children ages one to five, it provides a great start and will put your child miles ahead when it comes to learning how to ride a bike. The low-to-the-ground push bike prevents tip-overs, creating a much safer environment for learning. This allows kids to learn to bicycle balance around the same time they learn to walk. There are no pedals to get in the way. Riders simply push off and put their little feet on a piece of grip tape, located on the solid swing arm, to coast along.

You can learn more about the Strider PREbike on their website.

We have them in Orange, Blue, Pink and Green – but we don’t expect to have them around for long, so order yours today!

We’ve just received our newest arrivals of Daily Tea for boys and girls, newborn to 5 years.

An incredibly well thought-out collection that mix and matches perfectly, Daily Tea allows you to go for a streamlined look or a fantastic blend of pattern and colour.  All made of 100% cotton.

For Spring/Summer 2010, the designers at Tea were captivated by South Korea – from the bustle and color of Seoul’s city streets to the rugged, natural beauty of Jejudo, Korea’s largest volcanic island. The Spring collection celebrates the vibrancy, beauty and balance of this extraordinary destination.

Yay! It’s Almost Mother’s Day!

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

Mother’s Day is such a special day for many families…not least for the kids who want to make or do something utterly wonderful for their Mamas. In our house, there have been some French Toast making lessons much to my hearts delight! Spring flowers are also a lovely way to express happiness and love. Naturally, we think a fistful of dandelions from our favourite little hands and a big hug are priceless gifts for Mother’s Day! However, if you want to put together something slightly more extravagant, our two shops are conveniently near two amazing florists:

The Flower Box on Charles Street in Vancouver is a stone’s throw from our shop. Just follow the scattered rose petals from Commercial Drive and you can’t miss it. Beautiful pre-made bouquets in a variety of price points decorate the entrance. Inside, chose from all manner of gorgeous blooms or potted flowers. The helpful staff will assist in putting together a charming arrangement with skillful hands. Can you tell we are fans?

Just across the way from dandelion KIDS in Suter Brook Village, Port Moody is Bayshore Floral and Gift Gallery. A lovely little shop with loads of pretty bouquets and stems to chose from that brightens our day. Again, helpful and friendly staff will make the blooms you chose evolve into beautiful bouquets perfect for Mom!
