New product: Early Rider learner bikes

New Product: Early Rider Learner Bikes

We’ve carried a pedal-less bike for years, and it’s always been hugely popular. Now we would like to introduce our new favourite bike by Early Rider from the UK. It has got to be the most stylish bike out there!  A classic learner bike with 2  models – the Early Rider Lite (http://shop NULL.dandelionkids NULL.ca/erln-whuk NULL.html)(for 1.5 – 4 years) and the Early Rider Classic (http://shop NULL.dandelionkids NULL.ca/ercn-whuk NULL.html)(for 2-5 years), both of which have flames on the side. We just love these high-quality bikes, and your child will too!

These bikes were designed by a British father who wasn’t happy with the bikes without training wheels available on the market for his 3-year-old son. So, he created his Classic style of sit-and-go bikes. Being lower to the ground than traditional bikes makes them safer, and since the bikes are pedal-free, they allow children to concentrate on balancing, and learning without training wheels. And, with the added feature of restricted steering, the element of overturning is removed as your child learns their limits on the bike.

dandelion KIDS has some stock right now, and are expecting a big shipment before the holidays. Please call or email to pre-order.

You can learn more about the Early Rider bikes on their website (http://www NULL.earlyrider NULL.com), and be sure to watch the video.

Chambar on VancouverIsAwesome.com

VIA Chambar graphic (http://dandelionkids NULL.ca/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/VIA-Chambar-homegrown-graphic-lg NULL.jpg)

Our good friends Karri and Nico just had their restaurant Chambar (http://www NULL.chambar NULL.com/) featured on VancouverIsAwesome.com (http://www NULL.vancouverisawesome NULL.com), in their ‘Home Grown’ section. Chambar really needs no introduction, as they’ve been a hit since they opened their doors in 2004 in the Crosstown area of Vancouver, on Beatty Street.

And of course, who could forget our favourite breakfast spot, their cafe… Medina Cafe (http://www NULL.medinacafe NULL.com/) (located right beside Chambar). Best coffee and lemon meringue pie in town!  And if that couldn’t be enough goodness, they recently opened a cooking school called Dirty Apron (http://www NULL.dirtyapron NULL.com). Now you can learn how to make that tagine at home. AND if that wasn’t enough… they also have their own Chambar Ale. Cheers Karri and Nico!

You can see the full story and short interview with Karri and Nico on the VancouverIsAwesome (http://vancouverisawesome NULL.com/2009/10/23/home-grown-chambar/) site.
